Clotet, who is especially active in architecture but who has also made anumber of interesting designs of objects, was fascinated by the playfulcrumpling of a tray in silver paper and reproduced the effect in asuccessful mini-series of trays and baskets, in which the crumpled edgeis achieved using a complex technique of cold-pressing in a singleoperation.
